A chill is in the air

and hat season is officially here!!!

I am working on something fun for all of you, well rather your kids. With winter weather abounding I have been hat shopping. I have been scanning the Internet and visiting the big box stores for fun head coverings for the kids. And the cutest of all seem to be those that are handmade by talented people, which I definitely am not. I can't knit or crochet a stitch, my sewing gear has all been packed away for the move, and really I can't hold a matchstick to most peoples creative abilities.

I am trying to get some very talented individuals to donate their creations for all of you to win. I am unsure at this point if we will end up with 1 or 5 hats, but it should definitely be fun! So over the next few days while I am sorting all of this out, anyone have any great ideas on a name? I am thinking something like "kids in hats" or "caps for free", but again like I said I suck at the creativity thing.

But I will keep you posted (and if any of you have a hat making talent that I am unaware of, please send me a note so you can participate too!)

2 ballerinas???

B has decided to teach Baby B ballet! It is so cute! Baby B laying on the living room floor, and miss B gently moving her legs (strait left, bent right) and saying Passe, (switch legs) Passe, switch legs again Passe. Good Baby B! now we do Plie, bends both knees. I always thought you had to walk before you could be a ballerina, guess I was wrong!

Oh, and I am officially a TopMomma, so please vote for me click on the picture below and then click on me to come back! The more clicks I get, the longer I stay afloat. Wonder how long the picture of my kiddos will last??

Aba saw me up on the site last night, but didn't wake me to let me know, can you imagine? and then didn't even tell me till after breakfast! Apparently it is not such a big deal to him as it is to me, maybe he is afraid I will embarrass him in Cyberspace?

library drama

So Fridays at N's school are library day. The day the class gets to pick out 1 book to take home for the week providing they return last weeks book. Well, guess who could not find his book today, yep that is right N! Despite the fact that I put it on the stairs yesterday for him, the fact that he came home and dropped his backpack right next to the book, he could not find it this morning. And yes I was a good mommy and helped look. I looked and looked and looked for 20 minutes, and then I stopped. N is 6 years old now, and is almost done with the school year, he knows library days are Friday, he also knows that his teacher likes the books returned on Thursday, which is besides the point. The point is I found the book yesterday and set it aside for him, since he choose to move it somewhere else instead of putting it in his back pack it is now his turn to find it ( of course if I come across it I will place it on the stairs yet again for the cycle to continue, once again) So tears and screaming cries ensued, all because of a book and not wanting to do it himself. Watch it will show up again before lunchtime...

Ooh, and here are some givaways and link contests cute hair things, a quilting book, another book, and a coach purse
